LawSync Digital Signature Policy
1. Introduction
This Digital Signature Policy (“Policy”) is applicable to all users (“Users”) of LawSync (“LawSync”). The Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which Users can use our digital signature services. This Policy adheres to the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (“E-Sign Act”) and is designed to provide legal and secure digital signature services.
2. Consent
By using LawSync and its digital signature features, Users consent to conduct transactions electronically, and to sign and deliver documents electronically in accordance with this Policy.
3. Use of Digital Signatures
Users can use LawSync to create, store, and apply digital signatures. These digital signatures serve as an electronic identifier, created by computer, intended by the User to have the same force and effect as the use of a manual signature.
4. Compliance with the E-Sign Act
LawSync complies with the E-Sign Act. Under the E-Sign Act, electronic records and signatures hold the same weight and legal effect as traditional paper documents and handwritten signatures, stating: “A document or signature cannot be denied legal effect or enforceability solely because it is in electronic form.”
5. Security
LawSync employs advanced security measures to ensure the integrity and security of digital signatures. These measures include encryption technology, secure user authentication protocols, and other methods designed to ensure that a digital signature is not compromised.
6. User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their own digital signatures and should not share their LawSync access details with anyone else. Any misuse of a User’s digital signature, even by someone else, is the responsibility of the User.
7. Liability
LawSync shall not be liable for any loss or damage that occurs as a result of a User’s failure to protect their digital signatures or for any unauthorized use of a User’s digital signature.
8. Changes to the Policy
LawSync reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the LawSync website. Users are encouraged to periodically review this Policy to stay informed about changes.
By continuing to use LawSync and its digital signature services, Users signify their acceptance of this Policy. If Users do not agree to the changes, they should discontinue use of LawSync’s digital signature services.
